Webster technique
Webster’s technique is an adjusting analysis that enables a Chiropractor to find and correct sacrum misalignments to improve nerve flow to the uterus while also affecting pelvic alignment.
Another way of saying this, is we help the sympathetic/parasympathetic balance of the uterus, in order to ensure optimal physiological function.
The Webster technique also enables the Chiropractor to find and release key muscles and ligaments to improve soft tissue balance and coordination. This is an essential part of the care as the muscles and ligaments do affect both the alignment of the pelvis and the level of flexibility available for the birth process.
Webster technique is neurologically specific and seeks to improve the functionality of the pelvis. Altogether, the Webster Technique is a specific Chiropractic analysis and adjustment that reduces nervous system stress, balances pelvic bones, muscles and ligaments, and optimizes the mother’s pelvic function in pregnancy and birth (1).
